Question
Hi my milk flow meter has stopped working.
There seems to be some hair and grass wrapped around the propeller.
I have removed what I can with tweezers but was wondering if you have instructions for taking it apart to clean it or if I can return it for servicing?
Answer
You have a CR120 white meter?
2 x small clips either side of impeller...you can flick out with say a nail file.
Then impeller comes out.
Search 48.100 on Condor site for more data.
Hope that helps

Question
I have a couple questions about your Condor 100 Dispensing nozzle with flow meter.
Will this meter work properly if gravity fed?
Answer
Yes, if the flow rates are within 5 to 120 lpm (1.3 to 32 gpm)

Question
And is the reset practical to be used to feed 150 calves individually?
Answer
Yes, commonly used for this application

Question
I am looking for a meter, with manual or automatic dispensing, to feed approximately 150 calves, three times a day, in individual pens.
Answer
Yes will be fine here
It will provide manual sensing in that you are required to watch the flow meter and release the trigger when the desired batch volume has been reached.
We use hundreds of these Condor calf milk flow meters in New Zealand – they are very popular and reliable.

Trouble shooting the Condor CR120 flow meter:
Problem: CR120 digital display is not reading or is not reading correctly
1. replace the batteries:
To change the batteries proceed as follows:
• press RESET to update all the totals
• loosen the 4 fixing screws of the back cover
• remove the old batteries
• place the new batteries in the same position as the old ones
• close the cover again, by positioning the rubber protection as a gasket
• CR120 will switch on automatically and normal operation can be resumed
The CR120 will display the same Reset Total, the same Total and the same Partial indicated before the batteries were changed
After changing the batteries, the meter does not need calibrating again
2. check to see if the turbine is spinning freely
To remove the turbine for cleaning:
• spring clips are located either side of the turbine
• these can be removed with a small nail file etc
• ensure meter body and turnine is completely clean and free of debris
3. check to see if electronic system is free of moisture and completely dry
• remove 4 x screws from display face to access electronic system
4. display still does not function correctly?
CR120 flow meter will need to be replaced
